The Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation will jointly hold the third China-Russia Innovation Dialogue in Shanghai in September 2019 in order to implement the consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries and deepen China-Russia exchanges and cooperation in high-tech and innovation fields.

  As an important activity attaches to Dialogue, the 1st China-Russia Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CRIEC) accepted a total of 357 Russian startups applications since its launched on September 18th, 2018. After preliminary rounds, 76 finalists were selected into the Field Final of the Competition which was hold on June 1stand 2ndat Moscow. A total of 27 winner projects in the Field Final will be invited to Final and corresponding road show tours in China. One first prize, two second prizes and three third prizes will be competed among 4 Field as for Intelligence Manufacture, New Energy & Materials, Biomedical and Biotech, Sustainable Development & Environmental Protection.

  Additionally, we design a series activity under the name of "2019 China-Russia Innovation and Cooperation Week", which will be taken before and after Final Day of CRIEC, aims to further cluster innovation resources between China and Russia, foster innovation personnel, capital financing innovation, optimize the environment of innovation, comprehensively stimulate development vigor, further promote the financial institutions of science and technology between China and Russia.

Past Review

  The first China-Russia Innovation Dialogue was successfully held in Beijing Friendship Hotel from June 13 to 14, 2017. Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of China, Wei Huang and Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Formichev attended the conference. Nearly 200 representatives from Chinese and Russian governments, universities, scientific research institutions, high-tech parks, industrial alliances, investment institutions, technology transfer institutions and innovative enterprises attended the conference.

  The second China-Russia Innovation Dialogue and science and technology inspection were held in Russia from October 13 to 20, 2018. Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of China, Jianguo Zhang and Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Grekov attended the opening ceremony of the dialogue and delivered keynote speeches. Chinese delegates from Beijing, Hebei, Shandong, Fujian, Guangdong, Shanghai and other provinces and cities participated in the second China-Russia Innovation Dialogue and the "Open Innovation" Forum and inspected the scientific and technological institutions in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
